Our Annual Book Drive
The Mosiman Foundation for Literacy, Health and Wellness is currently planning the 2009 Book Drive. We are excited about this 3rd annual book drive supporting the children of the Pajaro Valley Unified Elementary School district. With the success of the 2007 and 2008 book drives, we have been able to donate 7000 books to children ages 5-10 in the community. Our donated books may be the only books that many children get to keep at home and share with their parents and siblings. We hope we can count on support again as we will be planning for an even more successful 2009 Book Drive. Please contact us if you are willing to support us!
Plans and preparation are underway for the 2009 Book Drive with a special tribute this year in honor of Cris Copren, a courageous young man who lost the battle with osteosarcoma cancer. Cris touched many hearts with his wining smile, gentleness, and dignity with which he carried on while enduring a major illness. Cris had a passion for education and academics. Cris now soars with new wings leaving us with joyful memories.
Fitness Program
We are also looking for opportunities to implement a fitness program for the children in our community. Please contact us if you are willing to partner with us!
